I need a recommendation for a wine gift for my forty year old friend, which I would like to age nicely and share with her when she turns fifty. I also need advice on who to store this wine.

Hi Un, and welcome to the Wine Board. Any of the better 2000 Bordeaux will do. By better, almost anything above $20. An exception might be Chateau Les Fiefs de Lagrange which is the second bottling of Chateau Lagrange. Have had them at 10 before with no problem, and 2000 is an excellent vintage.

Hey there UC and welcome to the board. Think you may have meant to ask how to store the wine. On its side, in the darkest, coolest vibration free spot in your abode.WW (oops.ww's advanced school of typing and proofreading)
