here's the web address of my column this week. always considered rodney strong's sonoma county bottlings to be good values, so that's why i posted here.

Nice notes. I think Rodney Strong also produces an old vines Zinfandel.

Had many pleasant visits with the personable Mr. Strong at his lovely jernt but never found his wines to fit my pistol profile. Being an ex entertainer he and I drank and schmoozed many times before he finally sold out. WW

hey WW: were you able to cut and paste the address to read the column OK?

WOW: actually, it turns out the other zin i tasted was not the old vines, but the reserve. here's my rather sparse TN...

'01 Rodney Strong Sonoma County Reserve Zinfandel ($30 at the winery): dark reddish purple. very nice nose of zinberry fruit and maple syrup, followed by tasty chocolate and zin flavors. 89 points (very good).
