Bright berry color and nose on a light sweet oak floor, a bit of cinamon mixes with the red and black fruits on the palate; good depth and moderate finish. 13.7% alc/vol and $12.49 at Costco.

Website says 2559 cases made, 91% Syrah and 9% Merlot (all estate-grown), aged for 17 months in French oak, bottled in March of '03, and no longer available at the winery. So where's it been for three years? Shudder to think about it, but cannot detect any heat damage. With tamales, pinto beans and chili.

Columbia Valley, WA. Like WW says, the memory is the second thing to go (or was it the third?).
