- hotwine - 10-09-2005 Found this in the cellar, hiding behind the '97 Cline Mourvedre. Just had to give it a try with some 3-year-old smoked sausage (venison, pork & BEEF) from the freezer. Black cherry and a touch of raspberry on the heady nose, lip-smacking entry, then quickly fading on the palate.... gotta strain to pull a finish. Nice but somehow disappointing after the promise of the nose. 14.5% alc/vol and $19 in '03. 4291 cases made from an 18-acre north-facing vineyard. - Innkeeper - 10-09-2005 Dose overripe grapes maid into vine fade fast. Yunk! - winoweenie - 10-10-2005 And der underripe ones make bad juice. WW |
