- Thomas - 02-22-2001 Went to a Rhone tasting yesterday. The 99 vintage outshines the 98. In fact, many of the latter are falling apart. The second night it opened up to reveal a lot of fruit and it also smoothed out the tannins. Great first tast of the 99's. Domaine Alary Daniel et Denis Cairanne Cotes Du Rhone Villages My shop finally got a CDRV in. They are working with a new importer so I am expecting a whole lot of new treasures. Barnesy - Loren - 02-24-2001 Last night I a '99 Cairanne, '98 Gigondas and a '98 Cahteauneuf-du-Pape. All I can say is WOW!!! |
