1999 Domaine Rabasse Charavin "Corinne
Couturier" Cotes du Rhone
Village Wine Importers. 13.5% alcohol.
Clear but dense ruby-garnet color.
Forceful tarry nose with hints of licorice
and fennel. Concentrated, juicy mouthfeel,
smooth, round tannins, and well balanced
acidity despite a medium body. Big flavors
of dark berries, and some black pepper.
Distinctly grape on the medium to long
finish. After an hour open, tannins even
smoother and bright, sweet-tasting cherry
flavors. Very Cotes du Rhone and
delicious. 6/11/2002. Foodie, put aside a case for me, and a case of the Otanella. Deb loved it.
