Good ole WS has an article on California Rhone type wines in their Feb 28 edition. A comprhensive article plus a long alphabetical list of resources, yet no mention what-so-ever of Bonny Doon. What did Randall do to pea them off?

No tellin'...just another reason not to pay much attention to WS. As one who visited his tasting room as recently as last weekend, I like what Randall is doing. That he maintains a good quality level while producing such a breadth of wines is amazing to me. Will get back to you w/ TNs (which aren't in front of me at the moment). Liked the Pacific Rim Dry Riesling & the old vine Carignane.

After the brief S.Cruz Mtn tasting tour, was convinced that I could have good wines with any meal even if I were limited to purchasing from only two wineries: Bonny Doon & Zayante.

I just loathe the day that the "Wine Speculator" does a comprehensive article saying how wonderful Beaujolais is. Then bam, up goes the prices on my favorite wines.

Barnsey you didn't see the feature article in WS on Georges? They covered him, his wines, his influence on Beaujolais and his museum.

I just hope the prices don't go up too much.

We were in the Bonny Doon tasting room in Paso Robles in early December. We were thoroughly impressed with the overall environment, the competency and personality of the staff, and the quality of the wine. A Rhoney's paradise!
