From Maison Nicolas, this Coteaux du Languedoc seems to be a blend of Syrah and Grenache, maybe a small amount of Merlot. Aged 12 months in new French oak with 12.5% ABV. Nose of black cherries and white pepper, more on the palate with a touch of green mint, moderate finish. Label says 3,000 cases made by winemaker Cedric Jenin. $13.49 at Costco. Deserving of a thick slab of black pepper-encrusted beef. I'll certainly buy more.
