OK you all have been very helpful with ideas about red wines from Greece, how about additional ideas on reds from Cyprus. I look forward to what you have to say.

If you can find them in Maine you certainly are lucky. I've tasted some and liked them, but I have yet to come up with a selection in NY City that means anything.

I like a sweet WHITE wine from Cyprus--St. Panteleimon (spelling may be slightly off). I first had it at a Greek-American restaurant but have also seen it in the grocery store. Not familiar with Cypriot red wines but do find Greek Mavrodaphe sometimes and like some reds from the Island of Rhodes.

Thanks so much. I'll be looking with some ideas now. I'll be needing the tips for a food pairing after the wine is picked, so I'll be back.
