- TheEngineer - 03-06-2007 Brickish brown in color, nose of tobacco, leather, cedar, wet woods, smokey, etc. There is precious little fruit left in this thing but still smooth and a bit sweet (like cane sugar). Still a good amount of acidity. Took a bit to blow of some initial funkiness and it was hot at the end initially, but time to drink up I think. - Innkeeper - 03-07-2007 Have you been sitting on this one for a while, or pick it up in a bargain bin? - TheEngineer - 03-07-2007 definitely bargain bin....perhaps that explains my experience?? - Bucko - 03-07-2007 No, you're spot on. This was not that good of a wine on release, and it was an early drinker that should have been consumed 3-4 years ago IMHO. - winoweenie - 03-07-2007 One of the weakest links in the Guigal fence IMHO.
