Château Guiot Costières de Nîmes 2002
This rose is ideal for a warm summer evening...dry, crisp, and fresh. A beautiful deep salmon in color, it has ample strawberries and cherries up front, and a clean, juicy acidity from start to finish. Paired very nicely with grilled Italian sausages one night and turkey burgers the next. About $9.

Alas, it was but one bottle. We'd had a cookout the first night and offered a couple of different wines as well as beer. About a glass and half of the Chateau Guiot remained, which I happily finished off the next night.
I plan to keep a couple of bottles on hand, though, for occasions when pink wine is called for.

I managed to drink a whole botttle of Moscat D'Asti last night. Somehow I just kept refilling that pretty crystal flute and watching those bubbles...only 5.5% alcohol so I didn't get looped.
