- TheEngineer - 08-05-2006 This one may have been a bad bottle cuz everyone at the store who tried it took a double take at the bottle .. Started off with a nice perfumed, redfruit nose and a very heavy oak. On tasting, the nice red fruit gave way quickly to the heavy oak and finished bitter and hot. - oostexan - 10-17-2006 Just tried one of these while on vacation in the mountains and thought it was corked. Not a fulfilling experience. Very hot, very oaky, very little fruit and tasted astringent. - TheEngineer - 10-17-2006 Maybe it's their "house style" Thanks for your notes. Always great to compare with/learn from someone elses notes at this stage of my learnings! |
