How about a wine pairing for fresh trout done up over the camp fire? Thanks.

If it was simply grilled and lightly seasoned, but not sauced, I might have a Pinot Blanc.

Obviously, different preparations would change the pairing suggestion.

The choice could be complicated by the choice of fuel for the campfire. Avoid soft woods, like conifers, and choose oak, alder or hickory for fuel. I would probably pair the trout with a CA Sauvignon Blanc; Kendall-Jackson comes to mind, and it's inexpensive and widely distributed.
