2001 Firestone Santa Ynez Valley Syrah
Mocha infused Blackberry, fruit forward style syrah. Well made with nice depth. 13.5%Alc/vol. $15

2003 Klinker Brick "Farrah" Syrah (Lodi)
Tastes more like an Oregon/Wash. State syrah.
Deep blackberry with hints of mocha, spice, chocolate cherries and a little oriental 5 spice. An earthy style, very enjoyable. 14.2%Alc/vol. $15

Agree with the Firestone Drew. We opened cases of that for a user conference this week and it was pretty popular. Went well with the food Wolfgang Puck brought along for dinner...

..oh wait...I think it was a different vintage but same notes.

Popped another Firestone and paired with grilled Ahi tuna. Some earth and tar notes have emerged and the wine has put on some weight. Great food pairing btw.
