Deep blue/purple. No sign of bricking. Nose with loads of blackberries, cassis, pepper, and smokey wood. All come across on the palate with an exotic note of apricots, licorice and honey. This beautifully exotic bottle delivers a great intensity of all its' components in a balanced, subtle, powerful package. Has enough sweet tannins to improve another 3-6 and hold another 8-12. Definately a 91/90. 51 by the bottle,14.5% alc. WW

Opened a 2nd bottle yesterday and was dumbfounded to get a harsh metallic note on the entry and none of the lovely fruit in the 1st bottle. It didn't smell or taste like it was corked just not good. This is a great bottle variation that's not acceptable. Hope the rest resemble the 1st and this abberration done show its' ugly snout agin. WW

Well finally got around to openeing another of these suckers for lunch yesterday with much trepidation. JOY!!!! The minute me big schnozz hit the glass I knew this was like the good juice. Actually the nose has actually improved with the gamey notes rounding out the spectrum nicely. Will breathe easier now and let the last 3 rest awhilst. WW
