Who among you is familiar with Pinot Auxerrois? This struck me as so different from other wines I've tried that I'm at a loss to describe it. It was a pale color with (to me) strange aroma and flavor. I expected it to be a sweet wine and it did seem to have some botrytis and suggestions of overripe apple or melon. It had a glycerol quality, coating the mouth. Not to my taste but interesting as an experiment.

I tried one once but can't remember it well, other than the fact that I liked it. It was at a big, 32-wine tasting.
