copper colored (100% pinot, i think), very fine bead.

Simpy outstanding nose. tons of doughy goodness, without smelling yeasty per se.
fresh, big, clean, cinnamon, guava? (something unusual, tropical and fruity), cherry.
a little bit lighter upfront than i expected, with surprising amounts of that unknown tropical fruit and acid upon entry. as it expands over my happy palate the doughiness comes more and more to the fore, with cinnamon, apple and fig notes on a long finish. Vibrant and complex, but really elegant.

i'd like to take it head2head vs. Krug and see what happens.
