pasta tossed with an Italian dressing and chopped tomatoes
breaded chicken over pasta in a tomato cheese sauce

Would recommend a very light red with the salad course; such as Bardolino. With second course, would stay with red, but go a little heavier. The most inexpensive Barbara d'Asti you can find should work.
