$40 I love the real stuff so much, I rarely get California bubbles (with the exception of Schramsberg BdN), but I got talked into this at my local store. Very good wine!
Definitely fruitier than any brut I've had with loads of orange on the palate. Nicely balanced, very elegant wine. Not as complex as much of the real good stuff, but very good for the money. Better than most of the big houses' NV, which keep creeping up in price.
Sorry, no notes taken so this is just a rough sketch with impressions!

I heard you say you stay away from the Cali bubbly, but that your liked the Roederer.

I'd suggest one other for you to try and that is the Iron Horse Blancs de Blancs. I've found that I generally like the Iron Horse better than the Roederer or the Schramsberg.

Thanks for the heads-up. I have a bottle of their wedding cuvee in the basement.

While the Roederer L'Ermitage was terrific, I'm not a big fan of their $20ish NV
