I finally got around to my remaining bottle of this, from Calvert Woodley, DC, when they had them on sale. Martin Sinkoff Selections. Imported by Pasternak Wine Imports, Harrison, NY.
100% Pinot Noir 12 % alcohol
I debated whether to call the color light orange or pinkish gold but eye of the partridge may fit. Tiny bubbles. Unfortunately the cork got stuck part way out and I left the bottle on the counter unattended for awhile. When I came back, it had popped on its own and the staying power of the bubbles was greatly reduced. Nice acid balance to a pomegranate/strawberry-like flavor. Bubbly fizz on the first glass contributes to the palate sensations. Great as a summer refresher or aperitif but would also be nice at wedding receptions, New Year's Eve parties or other festive events.

Cremant d'Alsace

We have a glass of this before every meal while visiting Alsace -- we've been four times. I just love the area.
