Had a 3 oz. pour at Enoteca Vin in Raleigh for $5.50. I have purchased this wine from some of the 1990's decade vintages and really like them.
Solid dark and red fruits, peppery finish, finish is slightly tannic. Deeper crimson color; nearly opaque. Medium body. Very attractive. Can be consumed now or allowed to age for possibly 4-5 more years. I would suggest pairing it with roast beef or cheddar or manchego cheese or enjoy on its own as I did at the restaurant.
