Bright, clear ruby color. Nose of anise and oak. Bright, tart strawberry flavors mingle with vanilla from the oak, with some more of that anise on the finish. Older style. Medium-to-light bodied, with appropriate acidity. Might be a good match for sausages, and it held up well with my wife's vegetarian cassoulet. Good value at $13. Alc. 13.5%.
