- Drew - 08-27-2006 Bodegas Lan. Wow, Elegant Rioja. Had this one squirrled away and popped it at it's peak. Very floral with sweet cassis, tobacco and leather notes. Well balanced and a joy to drink. Minimal fine grained tannins on the long finish. 13%Alc/vol. $23 Drew - dananne - 08-27-2006 Thanks for the TN. I had been idly wondering how it was doing -- I had a bottle about 3 years ago, and it wasn't ready at the time, but I have two more hidden away. FWIW, you got a wonderful price on it -- it ran me $35 down here Also FWIW, if memory serves, this one was a WS top 100 wine. - TheEngineer - 08-27-2006 Thanks for the notes Drew. Same here. I bought only one though ....maybe I'll wait until it gets a bit more cooler.......at 66F it would be positively fridgid for WW. - Drew - 08-29-2006 Found several more here at a closeout at $19 per. I wonder why so expensive in GA. Drew |
