Found this today in the bargain bin of a city liquor store--the original $14 was marked down to $10.

Lots of apples, pears, and grass on the nose, followed up with vibrant tart apples, lemons, and minerals on the palate. The finish was slightly and pleasantly spicy. Not a very complex albarino--the Martin Codax and Burgans were much more interesting--but this has good acidity and shows proper varietal character. It paired surprisingly well with shrimp in a shallot-butter-cream sauce on penne pasta. 11.5 Alc., $10. (Discount Liquors)
