Jumilla. Somewhat rustic monastrell, at this young stage. Crushed, spicy raspberry with hints of chambord and earth. Full bodied with coarse grained tannins on the mid palate through the linguring finish. Nice wine. Bought a case from Pop's for $117 delivered,(that's $9.75 per for youse with no fingers and toes) [img]http://www.wines.com/ubb2/biggrin.gif[/img] 14%Alc/vol.

I've had a number of these at $8.99 for the last few months. I agree with your notes generally, but around a third of the bottles have been significantly more dirty, to the point of unpleasantness. The most bottle-to-bottle variation I've ever had in wine like this.
I wonder if you'll have the same experience with your case. Let me know!

it's' very possible the bottle to bottle weirdness happened on route to wisconsin rather than overseas... so just judging by the good bottles, i'd very heartily recommend it...

VouvrayHead, Not sure what you mean by this...sediment? This bottle had very little.

oops. I should have been more clear.
I meant dirty tasting, super earthy, no fruit at all, quite unpleasant. Like the wine was cooked or corked or faulted some way. Definitely way off the mark from the good bottles.
