1998 Buil & Gine', Gine'-Gine', Priotat ($12.60 Is-Wine 5/07/01). Alcohol 13.7%. Amazingly this one cost $.90 less than Ritratti Pinot Grigio at the same time, and of course the PG was demolished long ago. I know that Foodie would have preferred that we drank this one a while back. No problem. It was just great tonight.

Excellent black fruit, currents and cherries, on the nose and upfront. Very complex full bodied with pepper and even some cinnamon on the palate with very smooth tannin. The finish lingered and lingered. Matched with broiled loin lamb chops in aoili, and salad with a combo of dressings. A fantastic meal. Foodie doesn't have it anymore, but does have another Priorat at about the same price.

I wonder if he carries the 1998 Morlanda, Prior Terrae, Priorat at $200 a pop?
