1995 Marques de Arienzo Rioja Reserva 1995

Paid 12 bucks for it. Had it with a petite sir loin covered in sateed mushroom with steamed potatoes, brocoli and califlower on the side. Not too strong for the veggies and not to weak for the steak and mushroom. Very good match.

Ruby and clear colour. Bright cheery with a peppery spice on the nose, same on the palate with a tinge of chocolate on the finish. A bit of wood on the nose and palate but only a hint and just enough for interest. A LOT of acid with middle tannin. With the fruit, acid and tannin...this one has the potenial for a bit more age.

Finished the entire bottle tonight
