13% alcohol
Color is purple with brownish notes. Not completely opaque.
Grapey nose and flavor of purple grapeskins. Perhaps more oak than optimal. Definitely causes puckering on the finish.
Cries out for robust red meat or perhaps a barbeque sauce. Loose translation from label: In French barriques for three years and prolonged time in bottle resulting in intense cherry color, a fragrance that projects time in oak and fruitiness (?) of Tempranillo. A dry wine, powerful, very robust, "que soprende cuande se bebe." (that surprises when one drinks it)?

Do you happen to know the price, by chance?

Dan,
Just saw your question. $29.99 at Carolina Wine Company. They were selling the '95 at $39.99 and the '98 at $24.99 I believe.
