What would pair well with a creamy chicken soup with rice?

I don't know whether creamy soup would pair well with any wine, dozer. Maybe a New Zealand or South African SB, a dry Riesling or a Pinot Gris.

Riesling would work, but it doesn't have to be dry. Also consider a Semillon-Chardonnay such as Columbia Crest, Lindemans, or Rosemount.

Creamy-hmmmm. Mainly I think of acidic wine to cut through the cream, and Riesling or even a clean Chardonnay would do it. But how about the following: a cool, clean Manzanilla Sherry. Might be truly exciting, if it works.

And maybe add a little sherry to the soup!
