We had a bottle of this a few years back when a friend came by with one. My memories are of a rather fragrant fruity almost tawny port that was smooth. Skip ahead 2 years and here we have a another bottle from the same person...and it did not appear to be as nice. Gone was the very attractive fruitiness of the original bottle. Could it be that age took it out or that there are sometimes minor differences from year to year (though this one would be pretty big if we could detect it with our amateur palate). However, still a nice tawny that went well with a chocolate fondue that ahem...I didn't ahemm...do so well with. Chocolate just didn't seem to want to get smooth.....
