- Skeeter - 09-10-2003 Another one for the Kiwi bargin hunters... this one retails at NZ$11 or so. (Or even less at Matuas' very professional, though slightly impersonal cellar door.) My first L.H Muscat, and it's a marked difference on the tongue. Much more of a spicyness along with a honey-like character. (Yes, I've been cribbing tasting notes from the bottle to help out my pathetic palate.) Seemed a little restrained, until I tried a glass with my "Control dessert". (Home-made apple crumble.) Then it just exploded with flavour... my face must have looked like the lttle red smiley icon. Skeeters Tasting Notes say: An excellent capper for a good meal and a great price to boot. EDIT: Forgot the usual weblink to the bottle: http://www.matua.co.nz/wine/dessert/lhm2002 [This message has been edited by Skeeter (edited 09-10-2003).] - Thomas - 09-10-2003 "control dessert?"
