The Atlas Peak viticultural area is composed of 11,400 acres, and takes its name from the highest point in the Vaca Range of Mountains – Atlas Peak – which stands 2700 feet above sea level atop the eastern slopes of Napa Valley just above the famous Stags Leap District. Though significant in size, the Atlas Peak viticultural area now contains approximately 600 acres of vineyard.
