CCOF

California certified organic farmers (CCOF) is an organization formed to promote natural foods and farming without the use of potentially harmful synthetic fertilizers, herbicides, or pesticides. CCOF growers achieve insect and weed control by careful timing of agricultural practices and using beneficial predators, natural sprays, scientific soil analysis, and composting. All strive to maintain a healthy soil – the prerequisite for healthy plants.
To certify a farm under CCOF and California Organic Food Act (section 26569.11 of the California Health and Safety Code), growers must follow a rigorous soil analysis and fertility program. The CCOF seal is your guarantee of a pure, naturally grown product.
