Had a small serving of this ($11.00) with dessert of chocolate creme brulee at Papa's Restaurant in Myrtle Beach, SC. Nutty red-brown color in dimly lit restaurant. Aroma of nuts (almost an Amaretto nose) Nutty flavor (see a pattern here?)--burns a little on the finish. A suggestion of coffee beans also in the flavor (or possibly vanilla bean?) Richer than the 10-year tawny ports I'm used to. Viscous, forming legs down the sides of the glass. Long finish. Does remind me strongly of Amaretto. Went quite well with the chocolate creme brulee with whipped cream and sliced strawberries and blueberries.
