Forge

Laguiole
was
created
in
1987,
reviving
the
traditional
Laguiole
knives
fabrication.
Every
step
is
performed
on
site,
in
the
town
of
Laguiole,
from
the
forging
and
stamping
of
metal
components
to
the
preparation
of
materials
for
the
handles
--
assembling,
polishing
and
sharpening,
using
the
craftmanship
of
yesteryear.
The
town's
knives
are
a
favorite
gift
at
French
weddings,
as
much
a
standard
of
excellence
and
source
of
pride
as
wine
is
in
Bordeaux.

standing
