Specifically it is the techniques association with promoting foliage arrangement to promote better ventilation and maximize sunlight exposure to facilitate uniform ripening of grapes. Careful positioning of new shoots, subsequent clipping or hedging of excess growth from the tops of vines, and selective leaf pulling are just some of the practices that are essential to good vineyard management.
