Yakima Valley
This was the first approved viticultural area in the state of Washington having been recognized in 1983. It extends on the west from the foothills of the Cascade Mountains and runs to the Kiona Hillsin the east near Richland, Washington. This area is home to the greatest number of vineyards and wineries in the state.
